I love to fry food in my Dutch Oven. It's Cast Iron after all. Ask any Southerner what they fry chicken in...their handed down cast iron frying pan from their relative most likely. With the Dutch Oven you can add more oil to cover the chicken completely and cook more evenly and never burnt if you stir the chicken around every few minutes. I love my Lodge Cast Iron pan, Don't get me wrong. But when I am using a lot of oil, I will choose the Dutch Oven every time!
